The Port Townsend Food Co-op was in continual conflict over its fundamental values. One employee, Rene Tanner, started getting people excited about the Wisdom Council Process as a way to bridge the conflict among members and the board. A series of three Wisdom Councils were held over a year, which ended the conflict, got people working together again, and generated substantive changes like buying the building the Co-op was leasing.
